1) Your Armory Link:
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... &n=Xeneize
-----
2) Referred By/Friends with: i do not know anyone in forgotten souls i found searching on internet about the guild.

3 a) Prior Guild(s): Edge of Insanity/Bloodhoof.

3 b) Reason for leaving: i had to leave because i can no longer attend their raid times.

3 c) Contact at most recent guild:Dacrusher can support what i just stated.
-----
4) Tell us about your skill and how you play your class (Don't be afraid to use details):

Im an Arcane Mage(main spec) and have Arcane PvP(offspec, i can respec to any other if needed). i have exprience with FBttw also so changing my specs wont be a problem if required. i chose this spec after the boost in 3.2, it became the best suitable spec for a mage, besides the mobilty it provides help a lot in case it is needed.
about my skill, i would like to say that all my keys are binded, only keys i dont have binded for a boss fight are the AoE spells, other than that i dont click anything helps a lot because i dont have to look away from the center of my screen and can be aware of everythin that is going on in the whole raid. in a raid you wont see me failing at standing at fire, or failing at a lava wall for example.
everyone likes being in the top dps of their raid, i do care also, but i do care a lot about my performance, this means that if we are on a fight that decurses or spellsteals are needed i will stop what im doing to do what i am required, also if i need to help with interrupts for example.

i do know all aspects and have a lot of knowledge of my class, i do look on Mage class forums or elitist jerks for any update of my class. im self-sufficient for everything i need in a raid this is all the consumables i need, also on gems and enchants, i wont be begging for gold or mats.

the mods i use for raiding are
DBM, Omen, Decursive, Grid and quartz cast bar. i also use recount, mainly to try new specs or changes in stats when a new patch or expansion if out.
i will come to every raid fully prepared, i search on some different forums for strats, tankspot for example, i watch a lot of videos before progression raid starts and read constantly the WOW Dungeons and raids forums.

5) Do you take orders and constructive criticism well?

yes, part of being in a guild is wanting an organized group of people and someone or a group of people need to be on top of it to make things work, so following orders is never a problem. about criticism i take it very well i do not get defensive if someone wants to help me by telling me what im doing wrong, why complain if this is the way to get better at an specific thing i am doing wrong.

6) What is your Real Life Age? im 20, going 21 next month.

7) What time zone are you in? im in CST, i can attend 100% of the raids, and still have time on any offdays to to 10 mans or anything else that could be scheduled.

8) Anything at all you'd like to say in conclusion:
i think i explained everything on a previous thread, if anything else is needed feel free to contact me at Jadum@alumni.unav.es
i will be also looking at my application to check for any questions, i can get on vent if an interview is required.
thanks for your time reading this and hope to see you soon.

Awesome gear dude.

If I may offer a few words of friendly advice, I would love to do so :)

How often do you use blizzard/coc/any frost spell on boss fights? I know I barely use them at all, even when aoeing as arc explosion is usually alright to use. That being said, do you really think 2/3 ice shards for a bit more trash dps is worth giving up a proc that is useful on 3 or 4 of the 5 encounters in toc/togc, where that proc on average returns several thousand mana per encounter? You are using frost/fire ward anyway to help out healers right, why not increase survivability even more and get mana back with 2/2 frost warding instead? This can be particularily op during p3 of Anub where the first tick of penetrating cold can kill you, and a proc from frost warding will both prevent that and increase your dps with more mana for ab spam. My fav is proccing 12k mana return on hm Hodir from the falling icicles and then proceeding to wreck the meters with extended ab spam during storm power and cds.

Also, how much pushback do you have to endure with no points in arcane stability? Ab is about a 2 sec cast with decent haste (mine is 1.7 these days), so one tick of pushback is a ~25% nerf to dps on that one spell; two ticks is a ~50% nerf to that one spell. Over the course of one minute, if you even only get two ticks of pushback, that is 1/60=1.7% dps time lost. Missiles is almost as bad, with one tick losing the last missile and two ticks losing the last two for a 20%/40% nerf. Mbarr is by far the worst affected by pushback, since at a two second cast, losing .5 sec from that cast means losing TWO missiles, and losing 1 sec from that cast means losing THREE missiles. While ab's dpm goes up with pushback, missiles/mbarr's dpm goes way down, meaning less mana for spamming ab during high dps cd/proc uptime. How many boss fights are there where there isn't some form of pushback once per minute if not more? I honestly don't know, I've never raided without 5/5 stability. Some people suggest only having 4/5 since Concentration Aura can cover that last point, but unless you are absolutely certain to have a pally running conc aura, this is unadvisable. Even just one tick of .1 sec pushback is a 20% nerf for missiles/mbarr, and I just don't see any talents in early arcane that can match this type of dps increase.

If you really need the +hit from arc focus, drop points in clearcasting andor arcane potency, you can always scale back your rotation to abx3 > missiles/mbarr during no procs/cds to make up for the mana you would save, and no other talents will give you the dps increase of uninterruptability on the two nukes that will invariably do 95%+ of all your single target damage. I would most strongly suggest to drop student of the mind completely for arc stability, the small amount of mp5 and crit is not worth the dps you lose from pushback. I've given this advice to more than a few mages on my server and all of them reported doing more dps and damage after making the switch.

I would also suggest picking up incanter's absorption if you have any priests throwing any amount of bubbles around. Even just with wards it is worth it since arcane scales so well with sp and even a 5k ward absord will give you a 750 sp proc for ten seconds, not long enough to ruin your mana with ab spam but certainly enough sp to spike your dps during the proc with ab spam. Line that up with cds and spike it even harder.

I don't know what your emblem of triumph situation is like and if you are using some of them for pvp gear, but if you can spare a few of them, Talisman of Resurgence is far superior than Talisman of Volatile Power for arcane. Using the 599 sp proc with arcane power is much more powerful than the tovp proc which simply takes too long to stack with 2 sec cast arcane spells. The int for crit tradoff is not a bad one either since the extra mana and sp from the int is very comparable to more crit, which just doesn't scale well for arcane at all (hence why we got buffed so much last patch, just like in bc at around this time).

I apologize if any of this seems negatively critical in any way, I just like to share what I have found through my own experience and others to be optimal arcane choices. Of course, to each their own.

You've clearly got the gear, and decent raid experience to boot, but to be honest we already have 5 consistent raiding mages, so while I am not an officer or privy to any type of decision making or insider info, we are probably already full up on mages.

Peace. 8)

Thank you very much for the application. However, Kandy summed it up there pretty well, we do have 5 fulltime mages at the moment, there is simply no way we can offer a spot for another one. I wish you good luck in your search for a guild.

Actually there is one thing I forgot to put in my first post. Another addon you may want to pick up is Power Auras. It allows you to set up a custom text buff/debuff indicator with a timer, so you don't have to search through the default buffs to find specific and important buffs that determine if you should be spamming ab or using a normal cycle. I still use the default buffs too but with power auras enabling me to line up all the timers on cds/procs/fight buffs, I know exactly when I should be spamming ab, dumping the stack with mbarr at the end of cds/procs/buffs to maximize them, when I should hold off on reapplying a ward because some damage buff is up, etcetc. It is also great for having an ab stack counter and timer directly above the quartz cast bar, saving 'eye travel time' in case you lose track of your stack count from other happenings. For maximizing raid dps effectiveness, this addon is as important as DBM, Omen, Decursive and Quartz, imho.
